If you believe you may have an STI, our free home testing kits make it quick, easy and discreet to find out.
With easy-to-follow instructions, the test takes just a few minutes to complete by giving a small sample of urine, blood or a swab of your intimate areas.
Simply place the sample in the prepaid envelope provided, pop it in the post and you’ll receive your results in just a few days.
Phone Appointments
After speaking to our helpline – or using a self-test kit – it may be suggested that you speak to a clinician by phone.
It’s a quick, easy and confidential way to get advice from a nurse or clinician – in your home or wherever you feel most comfortable.
They will discuss your circumstances or test results, offer you advice and arrange any treatment you may need.

You will be asked a few simple questions to understand your specific circumstances and the support you may need – so relax and take your time.
Everything you say is completely confidential and nothing will be sent to your home address.
What support will I be offered?
What support will I be offered? We’ll help you access whatever support you need. This may include talking about your situation, giving you advice, helping you access protection or contraception, or organising a STI self-test kit.
What if I need a test?
We offer discreet and easy-to-use STI self-test kits for the majority of the most common STIs.
If a different test or examination is needed, we’ll help you book and arrange a confidential appointment at your nearest clinic.
Clinic Appointments
A face-to-face appointment may be needed at one of our friendly clinics across Essex, if a more detailed conversation – or a physical examination – is required.
A trained clinician will have a chat about your needs and check you’re comfortable before doing any examination and, if needed, may prescribe you with or recommend suitable treatment.
It’s friendly, discreet and completely confidential.

If you are unable to find what you are looking for or need further information about your circumstances, our friendly team of trained individuals are on hand to offer support.
